Jodi is such a talented, professional, amazing artist with incredible customer service to match! She helped us with a very last minute job for a very picky client with very little direction - and the results were out of this world!! The client loved it!! I can’t thank her enough and now I want to find more excuses to display her beautiful penmanship and artistry with chalk! Absolutely amazing!!!

Jodi has helped me with a number of projects and has exceeded my expectations every time. I have total faith in her artistry and professionalism, and I will continue to use Lettering Studio West for any future chalkboards.

I hired The Lettering Studio gals to make a chalkboard to attract business to my hair salon. Brighid and Jodi were super professional and really talented. I get tons of compliments on their board from my clients and other business owners on a daily basis. They were organized, time efficient and fun to work with. I highly recommend TLS for unique signage, especially for new businesses trying to stand out.

I was referred to Jodi through a friend when a national company (who shall go unnamed) promised me they’d have a sign done for my girlfriend’s birthday, and failed. Three days before the party, they told me my order wasn’t even in the system. My friend then referred me to Jodi, who was able to quickly send me a sketch of her version (which was fantastic - better than what I’d planned on getting), and then make the actual sign in plenty of time for the party - which, again, was three days away at the point I first called her. Can’t recommend her more!

I strive to keep the endangered art of hand-lettering and signage alive and well in the Los Angeles area. I like to stay true to my materials (mostly chalk and paint) and to my clients. I want to convey the unique styles and messages of my clients by forming real face-to-face business relationships with them and by making all of my art by hand.

About Me

I moved to the west coast in 2002 where I obtained my masters degree in Art Therapy from LMU. I like to think that my educational background in Studio Art and Art Therapy helps me interpret clients' ideas and messages and convey them in an effective and stylish manner.

When I'm not chalking, I like to play co-ed softball, make my house pretty, and play games with my daughter.
